We’ll be continually updating the Lightbridge Art website so please check back regularly for new Paintings and Prints!

All Painting and Print product images on the website are in low resolution to enable faster page loading times and optimum website performance, so the images won’t convey the sharpness of the artwork as seen in person. Yes, I do commissions. Please see my Commissions page here for more information.

Yes, all Paintings and Prints come unframed, helping minimise the cost of the purchase as well as shipping and enabling you to choose a suitable off-the-shelf or professional frame that complements the décor of your specific wall and room.

Each Painting is fully finished around the canvas board edges with a follow through on the design and mix of colours of the Painting or with a single block colour on all four edges that ties in the main colours of the painting. Paintings are ready to hang with two hooks at the back through which you can thread through the wire for hanging.

Should you wish to frame your Painting, please see images on the Home and About pages to get an idea of how they can look.

Each Print has a border of approximately one to two inches around the outside to allow for easy framing. Again, please see images on the Home and About pages to get an idea of how the Prints look framed.

For our Paintings, high-quality acrylic paints on cotton or linen canvas wooden boxes are used. Paintings offer more texture and dimension as you can often see the layers of paint, and each individual, one-off piece captures the artist’s unique creative process.

We produce limited-edition giclée Prints on a selection of Paintings (most of these Prints have been featured or awarded one or more times in International art competitions and/or exhibitions) as a cost-effective way to own a piece you love, or get hold of an excellent reproduction of an original Painting that is no longer available. Each Print is limited to a total edition run of 250 (includes all sizes).

Offering a variety of Print sizes to work with a particular wall space or even an existing frame, our Prints based on square-canvas Paintings typically come in two or three sizes; Small and Medium or Small, Medium and Large. Our Prints based on rectangle-canvas Paintings tend to come in either Small, Medium and Large, Medium and Large or just Medium. If you’d like a different-sized Print, please get in touch with us here and we’ll look into whether we can work with the scale and dimensions.

All Painting and Print measurements on the website are in inches and approximate in that they are rounded to the nearest quarter of an inch. You can convert to centimetres with this online conversion tool here. We include professional framing in the price of Paintings and Prints come unframed (see above FAQ).

For optimum website speed and performance, we use low resolution files for all product images – please note that don’t fully convey the sharpness or quality of the Paintings or Prints that you see in person.

The paint finish on the Painting canvas is heavy-body matt acrylic, and I also use iridescent or metallic acrylic paints from time to time. Offering a wonderful range of rich, vibrant pigments, acrylics are high-quality, non-fade, non-crack paints that have been used by artists all over the world since for almost one hundred years. The finish is specified for each individual Painting on the website. Some Paintings may be more textured and you may at times see brush strokes or a Painting may have an area that has been left unpainted or has a more unfinished look as part of the intended design.

The canvas boards I use for the Paintings are linen on a wood box frame. Because of this natural base, you’ll sometimes see the canvas grain under the paint.

The French word “giclée” means to spray, and our Prints are created through an advanced process in which pigmented ink is sprayed using a large format ink-jet printer onto archival paper.

Used in the production of sophisticated fine art all around the world, industry-leading giclée is the only fine art print to be made in this way today.

Our giclée print specialist first takes a high-resolution photograph of the Painting to ensure the Print is as close as possible to the original Painting. The use of durable, premium-quality 255gsm cotton rag archival paper also ensures the colours on the Print won’t fade.

Capturing every last detail of the original, giclée offers exceptional colour and tonal ranges. Results are highly consistent and giclée Prints can last for as long as 100 years.

We have limited-edition Prints available on a selection of Lightbridge Art Paintings under the SHOP/PRINTS page. All of these Prints are awarded or featured Paintings in international competitions, juried shows and/or live exhibitions.

If you would like a giclée Print of any of the other Paintings that you see on our website send us a quick email and we can look into this for you and if it’s a runner we will update you with the possible Print sizes. Like all our limited-edition Prints, this will be of a maximum run of 250.
